Finca La Pontezuela has more than 400 hectares dedicated to cultivating olives, different cereals and almonds.

The drastic topography of the Montes de Toledo is clearly conditioned by its rigorous continental climate, cold winters and hot and dry summers. It is also home to a surprisingly, green oasis in the foothills of the Cabañeros National Park and is where our Finca La Pontezuela is located. Our centenary olive groves take root on the slopes of its mountains crowned by stones, and on its plains, known here as “rañas”. Cultivations methods have had to be adapted to this extreme environment to craft an Extra Virgin Olive Oil with exceptional attributes.

There are many varieties of olive trees in our country: Picual, Cornicabra, Hojiblanca, Arbequina, Redondilla and countless others. All of them possess great potential and health benefits and need not envy varieties from other countries.

Finca La Pontezuela has various cultivars. However, the two star varieties, from indigenous centenary olive trees that best represent our land, are Cornicabra and Redondilla.

Nuestro AOVE Cornicabra 5 Elementos cuenta con la Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) Montes de Toledo y posee unas características sensoriales que lo diferencian del resto de Aceites de Oliva Virgen Extra del país. We are proud of this distinctive variety for its exclusive and very singular flavour.

International, provides an even higher guarantee of excellence to the quality standards than those required by the existing regulating bodies that classify Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Our EVOO has been carefully produced following the highest standards of quality. We pick the olive fruit at its optimum ripeness, during the stage, “veraison” or “envero” and, on the same day of harvest, we extract its juice at a cold temperature (<24ºC) using only mechanical procedures. These methods help us to guarantee and preserve all of the organoleptic (aromas) and sensory qualities as well as its high nutritional value. Once extracted, we apply storing and packaging techniques that maintain the nuances and characteristics of the oil.
